Hello sweet Parents,

It has been such a long time since I have written a blog post. I have missed you guys and apologize for the long break, but I needed to take a step back and focus on my family. Things are going to be a wee bit different around here as I have already been sharing some of my favorite recipes with you I will also be sharing reviews on products I have tried, loved, or not loved. I will, of course, still share my adventures with my 5 curlies.
So all of the things that I love, bible study, fashion, food, products and more, I will continue to share with all of you.

I recently received the Honest Companies Trial kit that included diapers, shampoo/body wash, wipes, healing ointment, laundry detergent, dish detergent, and hand soap .

Everything (except for the diapers of course) were trial sized. Okay, so in my family, all of my children have sensitive skin. Not severely sensitive but sensitive enough where I have to use very mild laundry detergents like, SA8 triple liquid or Gain.  The SA8 actually works best on not causing any breakouts, including my newborns. As well as not being able to use any other diapers, store brands, generic brands, or even Pampers. All I have been able to use on my curlies without them breaking out in horrible, skin bleeding, rashes has been Huggies. Now I know it is vise versa for so many other parents, but for us, that is what works. As you can see I have been a little hesitant to try out any new products especially DIAPERS.

For those of you who are not familiar with the Honest Company, it is an all natural, non-toxic, healthy, and eco-friendly company founded by Jessica Alba and Christopher Gavigan. Their products have savvy style, sustainable, convenient, safe, and all at an affordable price. They offer everything from diapers to vitamins; they probably carry your “at home needs”.

Now one thing that I absolutely love is that their products do not contain any health compromising chemicals or compounds. Like formaldehyde, phosphates or chlorine. There are 34 major chemicals most commonly used in so many of our daily essentials that this company promises to not have in any of their products.

Naturally I started with the diapers when trying out these products and was a little hesitant, being my baby was the “guinea pig” so to speak. One word: LOVE! I love, love, love these diapers. Though I do plan on using cloth diapers in the future, for the time I am using disposables I would love to switch completely over to these. They have no scent whatsoever, super absorbent, and have not caused a rash on my sweet baby. They are also very cute! Honest Company offers an array of different designs for boys and girls. I love to pair the diapers with cute leggings on my little cutie.

Their wipes are also amazing, very thick and durable, no scent and cleans up well. Although I am very partial of the Huggies natural baby wipes, these stand well in comparison.

One product that I will definitely switch over to, is their healing balm, or diaper rash cream. It is amazing! All natural, scented with lavender and other essential oils and seemed to have healed within just 1 short day. After wearing a non-Huggies diaper (unintentional), she developed a terrible rash. So immediately I put the medicated Balmex on her to heal my poor babies “owies”. It did not heal right away, it seemed to stay the same after a day. So I tried the Honest Company’s Healing Balm, and within a couple of hours it was already starting to clear up! Best part about it was no harsh chemicals or any chemicals at all. YES! We have found a winner! 5 kids later and finally something natural that works on my sweet babies. A nice thing about this healing balm is, you can use it on all minor cuts and burns. Not just for diaper rash. It is truly amazing.

I am not so sold on their baby wash/shampoo. Maybe for us adults but it is still not gentle enough for my baby because upon washing her hair she started to break out in a rash on her for head immediately. Same goes for the laundry detergent.

All in all, I give this company a 4 out of 5 stars and a seal of approval. Do not just take my word for it. Try them for yourselves and see what you love about the Honest Company.
