Happy New Years! Resolutions, new beginnings, and a whole lot of love!

Happy new years!!

IMAG1492

We made it to 2014! I must say I am so looking forward to all this year has to offer and have alot of new things in store this year both personally and for the Tafoya Clan collectively. But before we dive into all of that juiciness, let me update you on the past couple of months.

When I last left all of you loves, I was at the starting line of a life changing challenge. When I said life changing, I meant it! The “30 day squat challenge” has kicked off a new found addiction to endorphins released through exercise to the point that if I do not get any physical workout I feel sluggish and low for the entire day. I havent felt this way in years. I have always been a very active person but over the course of the past few years of “operation bare children” I lost my way a wee bit. Happy to have endorphin driven me back.  Speaking of 30 day challenge. How did you all do with your squatting extravaganza last month? Please be sure to let me know in the comments. I love to chat with all of you.

Life here at the Tafoya Clan casa has been pretty… well… whats the word? Interesting! We have been through amazing highs and crushing lows. We kicked off the new year in a crazy trial, that at which point I thought I would crumble, but God totally used that time to draw us all nearer to Him and each other, collectively, as a family.I have decided to homeschool, never enrolled them in a school as I thought in past months and am feeling so refreshed and empowered to school my kiddos again. Our sweet little curlies are all growing at record breaking paces and tiniest curly has got a head full of curls now.  You may have already seen them on my Instagram account. I cant help but share the cuteness that oozes out of these five curlies living in my home.

I am chugging along with the mission that is “get healthy Tany back” or as I like to say “I’m bringing sexy back” 😉 I have had a ton of ups and downs with this mission and started out with a great pace losing weight steadily. Dropping inches with each monthly check in, but as the past two weeks have come and gone, I am finding myself in a rough patch, have gained weight and am lacking motivation to do anything about it. I somehow hope that telling you all will help me to get back on track. I really am grateful for all of the love and encouragement, you have so graciously given me in the past. I thankfully have just joined an accountability group and have been assigned an accountability partner whom I have to report my daily eating habits to. As well as my weight and measurments. Its a little intimidating to be so transparent and freeing all at the same time. I will have all of those updated goodies for you in my upcoming YouTube video. For now here is my good ol’ before pic!

***Disclaimer I have had 5 sweeties and am very proud of this curvy body I live in. I am just very ready to have healthy “curves” so to speak.

I have embarked on yet another challenge and this is a 6 week challenge with the accountability group I mentioned above. So for 6 incredible weeks, I will have to document, daily, every single thing I have eaten. Try to stay under my allotted caloric intake for the day. As well as document my exercise regime and check in weekly with updated measurements and weight loss or gain. So far I have succeeded and failed at it all. The first week I totally rocked it out. Hit my caloric amount almost perfectly, or a few hundred under and was on top of my workouts. Then the following week totally tanked. So grateful for fresh starts and a brand new week ahead. I explain more about this amazing accountability group and what my day to day eating and workout regime looks like in mine and Haydies 4 month update, postpartum and weight loss video coming this week!

I am also starting up another 30 day squat challenge! Starting the 30th of this month. I will start at the end of this month opposed to February 1st. Due to the fact that February only has 28 days and I want to have finished by the end of  next month.  My family participates in these challenges with me, so I thought it would be fun to snap some photos and a few videos and share them with you all along the way. If any of you plan to join in with me, please share some photos with us. I love to see others rockin’ a challenge out with me.  We will also be starting up the Paleo or “Caveman” diet as some like to call it,  at the end of this month all the way through Feb 28th, to see just how well it works for us. Who knows, maybe we will grow massive beards and start to live off of the land by the time we are finished. We shall see 😉

As mentioned above this new year started off really rough but there is a rainbow at the end of our little storm and that comes in the form of a new business for ME! Woo! It has been my long time dream to be an interior designer and after years and months of prayer  God has finally opened the door for me to do so. I will be starting out as an interior decorator (owning and operating my own business) and my very first project starts this month! Woo! It was a total God thing and I was approached with an offer I couldn’t refuse Christmas day! Perfect timing Lord  =)
I will be documenting my journey through, blogging, and vlogging,  throughout the course of the year. So be sure to look out for those posts. I will also have before and afters on my FB page here. So if you haven’t liked me on FB yet, be sure to do so.  Excited for the new changes coming to our Christian clothing business FirstCor and  our YouTube channel “Tafoya Clan” so stay tuned.

I am so excited for all this year has in store and have made a  resolution to Love more. Exude more grace and mercy. To be quiet when the time calls for quietness and speak when a voice is needed to be heard. What are your new years resolutions? I’d love to hear from you.

Thank you to everyone who has followed my blog over the past few months. I am excited to have 2014 with all of you!

Until next time loves
XOXO
Tany
